Jazzy said it wasn’t proper for an afrobeat genre to be signed for the contract at that time.  The main reason was that he wasn’t ready to move to the United States of America, so therefore he decided to work from Nigeria against the will of D’Banj. From that moment, they came into a mutual understanding in which they wished themselves good and move on separately with their career. This was the time, Jazzy thought about the principle of creating Mavin Records and he started it with immediate effect. Talking on D’Banj’s American Adventure; it didn’t turn out great. But note that, Jazzy laid an emphasis that despite his refusal to move to the United States, he remained faithful to his five-year deal with G.O.O.D Music.

The duo exchanged words to themselves because Reekado Banks emerged as the winner of the Next – Rated Category ahead of Lil Kesh. Reekado Banks was in Mavins then while Lil Kesh was also in YBNL. Jazzy reveals that they wouldnt have burst themselves if he didn’t receive his award immediately after Olamide called out the organizer of the award for being biased for not calling Lil Kesh for the winner of the award that year. Though, the duo still collaborated after their Headies beef on the smash hit single “Skelemba”.
